Recordings and streams
Every timestamp in this archive resolves against a recording held on someone else’s platform, and uploads get taken down, made private and re-cut. So the archive keeps its own copy of the audio for every trial day. It keeps them; it does not republish them. The recording linked from each transcript page is the broadcaster’s own.

Mono Opus at 32 kbit/s, which is transparent for speech. Each file is accepted only if it runs at least as long as the last thing said in that day’s transcript, the same test that caught nineteen wrong recordings earlier in this project.
These copies are held, not published. The proceeding is public record, but a broadcaster’s recording of it is their work, so the archive links their upload rather than serving its own in its place. One day is the exception. Day 8 has no upload that lines up with its transcript: the Associated Press recording of that session stops about half an hour before the day does, and the Court TV and Law&Crime streams run nearly three hours longer than the session because they were recording before court sat, so their clocks cannot carry a timestamp. All three are linked on that day’s page.
